We were there a couple of weeks ago, nice campground, watch out for the dog poop in the dog run though. Believe it or not that river/creek was about 5 inches from the top of the bridge at one point.

We are at Lake Minden Thousand Trails, Nicolaus, CA, nice campground, excellent Verizon data bandwidth.

Well shucks. I spent last week at the North Florida Fairgrounds in Tallahassee but didn't get a picture of my campsite. That's a first since I went fulltime.

So, imagine an unlevel grass campsite with just 50amp hookups (on a post shared with 6 sites) and water. Fairly snug, but not crazy bad.

Oh and I almost ran out of fuel while parking. I had to have my buddy come bring me diesel from his in-bed tank or I would have.

ependydad, That would not have been fun to run out of fuel. And I thought I ran mine low before looking for diesel. I think you got me beat. LOL!

Yeah, I don't know much but I do know you never want to run a diesel empty.

My fuel was low enough that the "low fuel" indicator came on before I got to the fairgrounds. Then, after botching parking a time or two- the info center flashed a "hey idiot, low fuel" message. That was when I got really concerned.

The sad part is, I'm typically a 1/2-tank fuel getter.

Yeah it would be bad

Nothing will be damaged if you run out of diesel, but the injector pumps don't work if there's even the smallest amount of air in them. Therefor it will be necessary to bleed the air completely from the fuel lines and injector pumps before the engine will start and run properly. It would possibly damage and injector.

Guess I'm lucky then. When we ran out, all I had to do was re-prime the fuel pump and all was good.

I have the stock 26 gallon tank in my F350 however I purchased 3 of the yellow 5 gallon cans just for an emergency. I got the cans from Walmart @ $12.00 each

I figure 15 gallons only weighs $130lbs extra but far better then running out.

Another great weekend at the fifth annual Celtic Family Jamboree at the Sertoma Youth Ranch in Brooksville, FL. We gathered in Peter & Becky that we had met at FL FROG last Sept & our Key Largo camping neighbors Brenda & Ron to add to our group of somewhere around 15 sites.

Managed to serve up a big pot of Irish coffee while learning to play the dulcimer on our site in the morning, a big chili fest on the gathering site and late nights around the campfires with New World Celts (went until 3am!).

One of our friends brought his drone so unique view of our gathering site and the music was once again outstanding by Albannach (from Scotland), Bing Futch & Screaming Orphans (from Ireland).
