Our first trip of the year at Emigrant Lake, Oregon. The water's a little low this year. In the picture from the hilltop, you can kind of see our site through the trees at the end of the peninsula. It's a sweet site at a very nice county park.

In the distance you can see I-5 climbing the mountain just a few miles North of the California/Oregon border.

That's what is nice about camping 10 minutes from your house , put the big truck back in it's storage spot then use your daily driver, plus saves putting miles on the Smart.

Our Easter escape this year. Small quiet campground, only 12 of the 34 sites have electric. Lot's of well blazed hiking trails, picnic areas and decent fishing.

Dispersed camping on national forest land between Buena Vista and Salida, Colorado. The kids were gone to see their dad over the Easter weekend, so we thought it was a good time to get out & get some hiking (and camping) in! Cool nights (first night was supposedly 10 degrees - so the furnace ran most of the night), but we even had one tent bed out and were very comfortable under flannel sheets & comforters. The rest of the nights only got down into the low 30's - so it was much easier on our propane consumption. :-)
