My lawn looks terrible!

When I was working and my wife commented on how much better some of the neighbor's yards looked so much better than ours, I told her those were retired guys who had time to keep their lawns up. Now that I am retired and she mentions the good looking lawns, I say those are retired guys who don't own an RV

Just tell her, if she doesn't like this lawn, let's see what the lawn will look like tomorrow at the next campground.

We are both retired. Lawn is looking pretty good for this early in the season.....and we have an RV...
However, I need to speak to someone about the definition of 'Retirement'

seems here lately I need to get a job so I can relax...good grief.....we are busier now that when we were working

I got the dandilions sprayed, the lawn mowed, and the drip system repaired. We are heading out for the hills within the next hour!

Spread lots of grass and weed killer on your neighbors' lawns and your lawn will look much better to her.

Actually, she is as bad as I am. Last fall we were sitting on the front porch expecting sunshine and temps in the 70's and I said "It's a good day to get some yard work done." She said, "Or we could go camping!" We were packed up and gone in two hours. The yard work will always be there.

When you are retired, that's when people say "Hey you have nothing to do, how about....
Not enough time to get to your plans, if you do everyone else's.

Select the forum you want to post in [Off Topic] for example.
At the top left there will be a green button that says "New Topic"
Left click.

Wife and I are both retired now. Not sure how we ever had time to work. She tells people we are going on vacation when we camp. I have to correct her and tell her "we're not going on vacation, it's what we do!"

And I still hate yard work.

Folks ask me that all the time. "Now that you are retired, what do you do all day?"

HA! Like they expect me to validate how terrible not going to work is!

I ALWAYS answer, "Oh, we plan vacations; then take them!"
