Thanksgiving Plans

What camping plans do folks have for Thanksgiving? Usually I cook for 15 or more, but this year we are headed out for a camping weekend, just the two of us. We have reservations for Thanksgiving dinner with other campers at the camp restaurant. We are looking forward to a relaxing few days with, hopefully, cooler weather. We are so tired of almost 90 degree weather!

We are in California at Thousand Trail's Soledad Canyon and still have no idea what we're doing for an actual Thanksgiving meal!

All you "Snowbirds" are making me very jealous...our Windjammer is hibernating and it won't awake until April 1st. But the idea of Thanksgiving in the TT is one worth planning for....
Enjoy your day.

The two of us are camping locally at Cane Creek park in Union Co. N.C just for the weekend and are planning to have some cornish hens for our Thanksgiving dinner.

We were going to join the pot luck at our Casa Grande, Az. resort but got an invite to long lost cousin near by. Either way it's still going to be in the 70s.

DH and I escaped Colorado, playing snowbirds at Torry Island Campground & Marina in Belle Glade FL. The crock pot will be used for a small ham (DH is not a big fan of turkey). Will be using the oven for the first time to warm dinner rolls, maybe make some "apple pie bites" in crescent rolls, mashed potatoes on the stove top, veggies in the microwave. Calibrate & repeat at Christmas?

Thanks Tom. We have plenty of propane and a generator so we are prepared for just about anything. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Been camped in son's driveway in Oklahoma enjoying grandkids. He's been cooking all morning and we are about to eat, I think. I broke "camp" a little while ago so we can beat the rush home. We'll stop east of St. Louis to sleep a bit and be home in time to clean and winterize the camper.
