beer and lots of it... actually once set up its dependant on the weather. nice day or evening like we've had this summer and its sit outside and relax. unload the Side by Side or mountain bikes and go for a cruise.
rain - stay inside and watch TV or have a nap (wink wink nudge nudge know what I mean Governor {Monty Python}
if we have the grand kids with us we play games either inside or outside.
they are 18 months and 3.5 yrs old so their easy to please at this stage of the game

We usually pull in late evening so once we get camp setup, we go out to eat.....

Dogs get walked, then the outdoor activities are at hand, Campfire, near beer, chairs around the campfire. grilling if need be or griddling as the case may be. chill with friends of the better half. stay out till around 10 or so and then shower and bed. up early around 530/6am for some outdoor coffee time and early morning walks or just enjoying the sights and then plan some breakfast. each Day goes about like this except I am not setting up..

I am an early riser and do not enjoy the heat of summer months. I generally arrive at my next CG around 6-9 a.m. and hope it is not occupied.

It takes about 40 minutes to set up. Once it is above 75 I am inside or seeing local sights/venues.

I am generally in bed by 8pm and awaken at 3 or 330 a.m. This is the time I have a fire listen to the news quietly on the radio and have coffee. I have found many like me. Mostly veterans themselves so we never got past waking up. I bounce during the summer through the Midwest so I can see family. Then back to the East Coast where the temps are in the 60's to 70's around Mid January. I love the cold so I stay at Ft. McCoy (Military Base) through hunting season.

Then bounce base to base in the East during cool months. If it could be 65 everday that is where I would perma stop.

I cover the picnic table with a throw, get my dog bone pillow and lay flat out on the table and stretch my aching body while DH sets up. I'm the Chauffeur, he's the Loafer while traveling. Sometimes I help set up but DH has his routine so it's better not to confuse the process.

We spend time in Nature with trees and animals. We get setup and sit outside, make a fire, or dinner or lunch depending on time we arrive. Head out for a bike ride and check out the park. End of this month heading to Near North Ontario to take in the colour of fall, watch the bears eat blueberries and fish, maybe stop by the cranberry bog.Who really knows. Visiting 4 parks this trip!

Oh yes for those that know Goshen the main rail line across Canada is across the lake where we stay at Grundy Lake! Except the trains are going full speed!

When the 5er is set up, bbq out on the table, carpet down, gennys set up and hooked up(dry camping) my wife gives me some medication. It comes in a large mug and is called dark rum and is used to ward off scurvy. Maybe a second dose to ward off whatever. Supper is a meal already prepared for the first evening, so the nuclear accelerator is used to heat it up. There might or might not be a fire made. I helped put them out for 35 years so I really don't care if there is one or not. We have anti gravity chairs so I try mine out. I tend to look at the sky or the inside of my eyelids. As a person above said about being ex military, I get up at 0600 hrs daily, make a coffee and sit down outside, weather permitting, enjoy what nature has going on. We will be doing this in October for 10 days, God willing and the world doesn't crack.

I have my bike out ready for a ride, then a swim when we return! Those are my camping choices, places to ride bikes and water. Then drinks, supper and a fire.

We take the dog for a tour to check out the campground - usually one of our beautiful Provincial Parks then back to light the hibachi and the campfire. If the weather is decent we're generally outside till about 10 or 11 then off to bed. If it's raining we're in the motorhome reading or watching a movie. Sitting outside right now with an iced tea. Just beautiful!

In Alaska, crack open a cold-one, park my butt in a chair and take the boots off. Then wait for the Wildlife Trooper(s) to show up. We always have coffee and cold soft drinks to offer them. They're not bothersome, they're just doing their job. They just like to know who is their area. If they see fishing poles they'll ask to see licenses. Not a big deal. After a while you get to know every one of them by name. They can provide you with useful info such as where the fish are, or if there's any bear activity in the area. In Canada, pretty much the same deal with the Mounties, Provincial Park Rangers, and sometimes the local Constable.

The Northwestern part of our hemisphere has been ravaged with wildland fires, so campfires are forbidden.
