Accessory Deals

I learned about the deal for the generators that I bought from this site. Someone posted a thread asking about any deals on battery-powered rope lights today. Another posted a thread about a deal he found.

I think a thread in which we can just post deals we have found that we think might be of general interest to several member would be useful here.

I am not married to the idea if the staff don’t like it.

But, here is a deal I found today. Sorry that it is not battery-powered, but I plan on picking up a few.

Aldi has multi-colored rope lights with a remote control (dimmer, color selection, light modes) for $7.99. Ad does not say how long the rope is. Sale starts Sunday, 7/5.

Just an FYI this is called "Tape Light" or "LED Tape" Usually not very long. Maybe 1M to 3M. Should have an adhesive back and if it is not waterproof it will corrode quickly outdoors.

I picked up a few yesterday—and discovered precisely what you pointed out. They are still a great deal. We purchased similar products to use in some cabinets with glass doors, paying far more per foot.

They may have some RV use, but (as you say), NOT outdoors.

They are 65” long (about 5 1/2 feet).

As they are not what I thought they were (rope lights) and I don’t need these lights, they are going back today.

Thanks for saving others from mistakenly buying this item.

Bad first item, but I think a thread for deals still has value.

There are waterproof versions out there. I'm in the staging industry and we use them all the time. They are sealed in their casing and are referred to as IP65.

The ones you purchased would be good for interior use. Something like a walkway light maybe or cabinet lighting.
