Back to the factory

Next week Monday is our trip bsck to the factory for a complete floor replacement. My house is now full of the stuff we've accumulated in the camper for the past 5 years. What a chore! I GUARANTEE that all this "stuff" will NOT make it back into the camper. Should be fun....we're planning to pick it up again on the 2nd and go straight to northern Wisconsin for Labor Day weekend. So our plan is to load a U-Haul with all the gear and load it into the camper when we pick it up. Should be just BOATLOADS of fun (sarcasm on!) Do yourselves a favor...do a complete "clean" every year. There's just too much....crap.

Stuff can really pile up over a few years. I sold our 8 year old tow hauler this year. I could not believe how much "stuff" we had in there.

What happen to the floor?

It got spongy, all the way from the kitchen back to the bathroom. Forest River is replacing it, for free, 3 years out of warranty. A known issue. This isn't their first rodeo.

We must return to Elkhart for factory service on our GTX3600. Is there a good place to stay in Elkhart for a week?

We're getting closer to Mllersburg, Indiana, on our journey to get our floor repaired. Seeing lots of transport trucks hauling units westward. Maybe one of them is YOURS, if you're waiting on delivery!

On the north end near toll road on HWY 19 there are motels & many food choices.

Flippin Cow is great hamburger place.

Also happy that they've abandoned the luan/foam/luan flooring system and going with 5/8" plywood. Doesn't help our situation any, but for any new models going forward it won't be an issue. It isn't compatible with our unit because the side walls, etc. wouldn't match up. Trust me - I asked!
