As a retired insurance broker, I had this question asked by many travelers, especially full-timers. The current liability insurance you have on your rig and car will not cover personal liability not associated with your vehicles. If you still own a home, your personal liability on your homeowners policy will cover most personal liability that could occur while traveling. If your rig is your full-time home, then you will need a stand-alone personal liability policy. It is relatively inexpensive, and I recommended a minimum $500K for my clients and depending on their net worth an excess or umbrella policy to provide additional protection against civil suits and defense costs.
