Curious of value-1976 Boles Aero

Posting a question to those who are familiar with Boles Aero campers. A friend of mine who we camp with...he has a hybrid cub travel trailer, so somewhat familiar with campers...found a 1976 Boles Aero 32' travel trailer. The gentleman selling the camper just wanted it removed from his property and $200.00. Of course my friend was leary of the condition, but couldn't help himself and had to atleast go look at it. Well this camper is actually in really good condition for a 1976 model. The exterior is well kept and the interior, though dated, is fine...not pristine...but very serviceable. He realizes water lines, pumps, electrical connectors and wires need to be checked and probably revamped, etc. but is really just interested in the brand of that era as a fixer-upper for possible hunting camp type camper or resale value if reconditioned. Any thoughts or suggestions???

If you like old campers and like to restore, have at it...for $200 what's to think about!

Right Dave...I told him he could scrap it and still make money. But he was asking me to inquire among seasoned camper owners as to the brand. I am not familiar with Boles Aero and was unsure if they were knock-offs from aerostream, were they maufactured junky on the front end, were many people restoring them with decent success, are they prone to fall apart after so long structurally, do they accept current parts very well. You know...any hidden advice as to what he might be instore for if the camper is visibly in decent shape. Thanx for your reply.

Sorry, camper restoration's not my thing. It's probably like restoring cars...if you're handy and can do most of the work yourself and don't put much value on all your labor, you might just break even if you were to sell it. If you're paying someone to do the restortaion, you better be in love with the camper.

Try the Airforums website...lots of vintage trailers other than Airstream. They have a wonderful group people that restore all kinds of things aluminum in nature. As former Airstreamers, wish we had the opportunity to restore one!
