Anyone buy the Dometic extended warranty on their air conditioner?

We purchased the warranty on our 13500 after our 15000 failed this spring. Dometic had a bad run of A/Cs in 2014. My mobile tech recommended I purchase the warranty as the 13500 is one of the affected units and it's just a matter of time before it fails. Per my tech the A/Cs are pretty reliable and should last at least ten years without issue

A warranty is only good if the company will honor it. Since Dometic doesn't honor their standard warranty (except for toilets) I'd vote no.

Dometic replaced our 15000 BTU AC without question. When I called them they referred me to CW, which I politely refused and my dealer was over to hours away. I told them I had a trip planned in two weeks. They set up a mobile technician to come to our house the next day. A week later we had a new A/C installed. Our fiver was 16 months old at the time and they never questioned anything.

All I hit was dead ends and no from them on my one year old fridge.
