DW is getting the bug again--and has her iPad out!

So, we've had our Salem for 2 seasons and we love it. The problem is, we did a motorcycle camping weekend in September with friends, my buddy put both of our bikes in his enclosed trailer, and now the DW wants a toy hauler. The problem is, she wants one with just as much living space as the Salem has, and to get that, I'm looking at at trailer that's MUCH heavier (not to mention loaded with an extra 1400# of Harleys.) I do not want to have to buy a bigger truck. My truck CAN pull a 5er, but they get real heavy real quick, and I think I want to stay with bumper pull. So, with all these factors in mind, I figured I'd throw my dilemma out to my FR brethren and see what sage advice I might receive. Some early candidates are the Keystone Impact 301, Dutchman Voltage V300, FR Vengeance 300V, and the Keystone Raptor 31DS. This is just an initial list, but any and all advice is welcome. Thanks!

I don't know anything about toy haulers or tow behinds overall, but the Rapter seems very popular. You are lucky you have a progressive DW instead of an obstructionist to fun!

Hey until this past weekend was pulling ours with a 2004 F350. Love the fact that my XLR feels like a normal camper once the toys are out. But then again you might want to keep this a secret from her .LOL

Thanks for the replies so far. She is definitely not an obstructionist when it comes to fun time, but she has to be involved (and like the floor plan.) I liked the XLR too, but there was something about the floor plan that she didn't like--I think it was the placement of the TV or something. I don't ask, I just say "Ok honey, we'll put that one on the 'no' pile for now." Keeps me sane...

Of course, I'm betting the plan in a 38' XLR is different from the one in the 30FQS. I bet she'd like that one...

Sounds like a great opportunity to get a new Dodge dually 3500. Good luck truck shopping.

There will definitely NOT be any new truck shopping.

Went to the Susquehanna RV Show today at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds (nice little show, free admission and parking, and still on for tomorrow.) We have a new pony in the race: Cruiser RV Fun Finder XT300. From what I can tell so far, the Cruiser line (which I've never heard of, but wasn't ever really looking for) seems to build lightweight campers. Anyone heard anything about this company or their products? I like the idea of lighter weight (diesel isn't getting any cheaper,) but not at the expense of quality materials and workmanship (if that's how they get there.) Thoughts?
