I hope they are planning to update this... Coachmen/Catalina are not on there. We're not represented on the main Forest River website either...

It's only been 4 years since Forest River acquired Coachmen.

go to FR's real main website:

Forest River : RV, Cargo Trailers, Boats, Commercial, Housing

Coachmen is at the bottom, along with Prime Time, Dynamax, Shasta and Palomino.

Appreciate Smitty75 for starting this post and the others for contributing as we're hoping to pick up a new Sabre in 5-6 more weeks.

Hkreck,

I had the same question you had about extended warranties on Motorhomes. I spoke with Forest River today and they told me they do not offer extended warranties on motorized products ( i.e. Motorhomes).

Only way I knew about the extended Forest River warranty was from this site. The other thing my dealer didn't tell me was that I also got, free from Forest River, a 1 full year membership with CoachNet RV Roadside Service. None of which would have been worth a dime had they been able to talk me into the $1500.00 extended warranty program. Gotta love Al Gore for the Internet!

I don't believe any Class A, B, or C is able to get the 2nd year from FR.

You are correct about the Class A. I do not know about Class B or C. I had called the FR Factory about this a year ago, and was told not applicable to Class A.

Warranty

Forest River does not have a second year warranty on anything that sells for less than say 50K..Our Crusader 270RET was to have a second year warranty, when we went to apply for it, we were told it was not available and never had been...bad information from dealership at the time of the sale...
So, we put away some bucks to cover most anything under 1500 dollars..rather than spending 1200 or more annually on some kind of extended warranty..anything over 1500 dollars, we would just trade it in on a newer model with a warranty..

2nd year warranty

I bought a 2nd year warranty from Forest River when I bought my Travel Trailer 2/13/2012 it cost $150.00 . I am looking at it now. Top of page reads.
"Forest River Inc. Additional 12-month Peotection Plan for Travel Trailer and Fifth Wheels."

Bucket

Roger Stickel, National Sales Manager for Forest River told me directly that our Crusader 270RET did not have a second year warranty offered by Forest River..we took his word at it along with the Dealership that sold us this coach back in November of 2011....If you have something other than what was told to me...I would love to see it....you can email me with a copy...

Don't know how long FR has had the Crusader, but some of their recent aquisitions are not yet covered by the 2nd year warranty.
