Crusader is a PrimeTime product. PrimeTime doesn't have a second year warranty option like other Forest River divisions. Your dealer gave you bad information. It had nothing to do with price.

none of the recent FR acquisitions have the second year warranty, EXCEPT the Sanibel line of Prime Time.
that includes: Coachmen, PT, Shasta, Viking and Dynamax.
Palomino does for two reasons: FR acquired them back before the economy took a tank and the former company that owned Palomino, Vanguard Ind., included a two year warranty that FR allowed to continue when they bought Palomino. but it followed the existing FR warranty policy of paying extra for it.
the FR 2nd year warranty is ONLY available for towables, no motorhomes.

I also wouldn't have known about this unless I had joined this forum. I purchased a 2014 Palomino Sabre 35QSIK-6 on June 8th and sent the form in the following Monday with a check for $150.00. The check cleared my bank today. How long did it take you to get a signed copy back in the mail for your records?

I got my Columbus 320 on 5-7-13, was at my dealer last Wed for warranty work and asked about 2nd yr and they said they did not know any thing about it. Chris Columbus gave me the number for Andy Downton who in turn gave me the number for Jack Landers whose title is (Parts and Warranty Manager) for Columbus. His # is 574-821-1487 He got the form to me and I mailed a check for $150 for the warranty. Hope this helps

Try Rhonda at 1-574-534-3167. Cost depends on your unit, but usually $150.

Forest River Extended Warranty Form
I'm baffled why the dealer is being so hush-hush about the available 2nd Year Extended Warranty. I understand they want to make money on their 3rd party 7-year warranty. However, we declined that and they still haven't offered any information on how to go about getting the 2nd Year FR warranty. What about customer service after the sale??? It hasn't even been a week since we picked up our trailer and we're already feeling like were getting the "cold shoulder". I did find a post on here where someone provided the Form for the extended warranty but it didn't have a second page price sheet as indicated on the form. Any assistance would be so much appreciated! Thank you!

I may be confused here but, My 2014 Wildwood brochure shows 12yr warranty on roof and 2 yr warranty on ac,furnace, fridge, and stove. I also carry Good Sam Extended warranty for all the appliances and systems. Even the stab jacks are covered. I saved some $$ on the warranty by taking a $500 deductible for the first 2 yrs(covered by FR). After 2 yrs I will lower the ded. to $100. Cost for this coverage now is $20/ month. After 2nd yr it will be $38/mo.

Stg1..seems to me you are wasting your money for the first two years by paying $20 a month with a $500 deductible for what's already covered. I would wait till the 2 years are up (using the 2yr. FR no deductible policy) and then switch to the GS Extended warranty. Even if you have to pay the additional $150 for the 2nd year coverage at FR it's cheaper than the $480 you'll pay GS to duplicate coverage. I may be wrong but that's just my thoughts.

bob 213,
Yes, it might look like a waste, but now I can get the extended warranty on a new TT, whereas my TT will be 2 yrs older when I try to get the warranty. Who knows what the rates will be like then. The current rate is for a guaranteed 6 yrs, no increase.

Contacted FR at 574-534-3167 and she said that they no longer accept credit cards for the warranty purchase over the phone. She said to just mail in the check with the form and that was all I needed to do. Because of doing everything by checks being mailed in, they were no longer requiring the 10 day policy. Very pleasant to deal with.
