not unusual! but i bet they did mention a 3rd party extended warranty that they won't tell you that they get a commission on.

Very pleasant to deal with.

Same here, she said to mail it in w/check. The 10 day policy is waived, and warranty will be issued in about 2 weeks.

Cost was $250 for a Cedar Creek Silverback. Sent my check in today (3 weeks after purchase -- 10 day period is still waived per call to FR).

Go back to the 1st post in this thread on click on the link or download the PDF form in that post. Fill it out and send it in after you have your VIN on the new unit.

Park models like the Cedar Creek cottage may not qualify.

I guess it all goes back to the dealer. Our dealer already had the paper work filled out with my vin# and info on our Sabre for the 2nd year warranty. He asked me if I was interested in the 3rd party and when I told him no and he just said he wanted me to know it was available. All I did was put the check in the envelope and put a stamp on it, that easy. Thank you Berryland!!

2nd year waranty
Hi all, new here. Just signed the papers on a new Flaggsaff Superlite 27RLWS, will pick up next week. Dealer didn`t offer the 2nd year warranty, tried to sell us the extended warranty for $1200. I asked about the 2nd year from Forrest River, was told they would check on it. Can I just print out the form from here and send it in with the $150. Has any one else done this and received the warranty? Thanks for any info. Really glad I found this forum. It contains a lot of great info.

Yes. Download the forum and send it directly to FR with your check. They will sign it and send it back to you.
The dealer has no involvement in the 2nd year warranty - its directly between you and FR, which is why so many of the dealers don't mention it or play dumb - nothing in it for them if you buy it.

(as long as your unit is listed on the form)Once you take possession and have the VIN just fill out the form and send it in with a check. They will counter sign the form and mail it back to you.

I mentioned on another post about not knowing about FR extended warranty. Dealer said they had Xtrra Ride. I wanted a 1 or 2 yr. I was too late having mine almost a yr for FR. Dealers are not required to mention it! I am currently looking at Sams 2 yr extended service plan. Seems only one I could find. Deductables 100 to 500. Anyone using Good Sams?

What are the deductables if you purchase the 2nd year warranty from FR? Mine will be $150 for my TT, sounds like a no brainer. I don't plan on using my camper a lot this year, but have plans on next summer so the 2nd year warranty would come in hand if needed.

Anyone know how strict they are with the 10 days from purchase part? Bought on 5/28, took delivery 5/29 so I'm right around the 9th day now. Can I call them to do it over the phone?

They are usually pretty forgiving on the 10 day rule. I've been told that you can no longer do this over the phone. You might want to call Rhonda at 1-574-534-3167 and ask. You can tell her then that you are going to be a few days past the 10 day and maybe she can make a note of it.

They no longer go by 10 day rule since they stopped taking credit cards. I sent my 2nd year warranty in 2 months after I purchased my 5ver. I was told this by a rep from FR waranty.
