What is really scary is that the prices being put up now will be a bargain in three or four months.

Rockwood06 Where in MD do you live? We live in MD as well and have found Diesel for $4.25 but no cheaper. My DH would die to find diesel for $4.00!! He bought the diesel truck last summer because of cheaper fuel prices and better mileage, now I think he is regretting it!

I got a map of the south east US and drew concentric circles around my home at 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 miles. Wow! Lots of places to go on one tank of gas! (one way)

I toke the day of from work to day, I am traveling from MD to Madison NJ to watch my daughter play in her semi-final Lacross college game for the MAC. I can't wait to see how much gas is up there! Yea, a 4 hour trip for a 1 hour game and then back again and it starts at 4:00 pm, then after I get home I hit the bed then get up at 2:30 am leave for work and stop to buy more high dollar gas.

Just got back from a trip from Southern California to Central California (Fresno area). Average price for 87 gas was $3.99. Diesel was crazy. In Tulare, there is an E85 station right off the freeway. It was selling E85 for $3.15. I ran two tanks (one up/one back) and really can't complain. A slight loss of gas milage, but that was off-set by the savings in price. E85 has an octane level of 105. I did notice, however, on the way home while going up the Grapevine (long steep grade dividing Southern / Central California) an odor. I looked it up and others have experienced the odor while E85 was under extreme load. Nothing overwhelming and my daughter didn't even notice it.
Any of you use E85 and what was your experience?

Has anyone with a gas burner found a way to increase fuel milage? Has anyone tried a hydrogen system? I found this fuelconcepts.com and wondered if anyone has tried it?
