I downloaded the owners manual and went trough it and the only concern I have is that the rated SPL (Sound Pressure Level) isn't listed anywhere in the manual that I could find.
Other than that, it looks like a good unit.

I would read the reviews on this product. You can get an idea of what to expect, for trouble, if any!

I bought Chinese Kipor 3500 generator 12 years ago it was new at a pawn shop for $365 it's still jugging along with no issues...Never spent a dime on repairs other then oil changes and new spark plugs. We don't boondock anymore and it's too heavy at 130lbs to lift in the back of my truck by myself so its now an emergency generator should I need it at home for a power outage....I start it up once a month or so to to make sure it still runs

They do not stand behind their products because they have nothing to lose. Try suing them in court, that is why OEM's don't use their products, no one stands behind them.

I got one, and it’s true...super quiet and the noise it does make is softened somehow...hard to explain. I tried to upload a video, but this forum won’t take it.
Anywhoo, works great, quietly. And Westinghouse sent me a free cover when I registered the product.

Responding strictly to the thread title, it seems like all portablegenerators suitable for the RV market (4kw or smaller) are going down in price due to frequent sales. (except Honda).
Not unusual as more and more are making it into the marketplace. They are also becoming more and more like TV's and Kitchen Appliances. All work for a long time and when they have a major failure it's more cost effective to just replace.
I bought a Chinese made generator back around 2005 and used it regularly for powering my TT or backup power at the house during power outages. Have no idea how many hours but have changed oil regularly and cleaned air filter. Just last week it got it's first new spark plug.
Bought it before inverter technology became cheap enough so one could buy a genset capable of powering an A/C unit without having to fork over $2,000-$3,000. I now also own a 3500w Inverter that is dual fuel which cost me $1,000. Based on the 14 years of trouble free service from my first unit I expect the new one to give me similar service.
As more and more of these units make it to the market I expect prices to go down even more or at the worst, stay the same instead of going up with inflation.

I do because I heard it and it’s super quiet, even off eco mode. Sounds like a Honda to me, but I haven’t done any official tests. All I know is my ears thank me .
I tried to post a video here to prove it but the forum would not upload it. But there are some YouTube videos you can check out

OP here. We bought it at a great price, the unit works great, super quiet and that remote start is fire! No regrets so far.
