Last year was a bad year for us due to family health and did not get enough time out.

Normally we average 4 days per month local plus 6 to 8 on the road somewhere.

This year we are on track for our normal local average but the longer distance stuff has been canceled due to cost of fuel.

Last year we spent around 80 nights out. Part of that was worked related.

So far, this year we have spent 40 nights out and less work trips projected. So future planned trips for this year will put us between 60 and 70. unless I can squeeze some in.

I'll definitly be looking into deducting the interest come tax time next year. I kinda wonder though with the number of campers being sold,,you would think that the IRS would require some proof that it is actually being used as a "second home" for the required amount of time.
It seems to me that anyone can say it's being used and just go ahead and claim the interest. And in case we have any IRS agents in the forum, I would NEVER lie about anything to the IRS. you guys are the greatest and we have nothing but the most respect for you.

We will normally be out 60-90 days per year. Usually take at least one trip of 45-60 days and several shorter trips.

Have46 days so far this year with 10 days coming up at the end of the month, sill still have a fall trip, I hope

okay in the new Flagstaff V lite we have camped 12 nights since June 30. We have at least 8 more nights planned so that is not bad for a total of 20 in new trailer .

This has been our first year with an RV and it sat at the dealer until August waiting for a hydraulic tank, but that's another story. A 3 day week-end since then and a 7 day trip to the Internation Ploughing Match in Teeswater, Ontario coming up. This will be our first experience living in an RV city.
Does it count that we sleep in it in our yard? LOL .. we love our RV.

We have done 20 days so far this year with another 22 days planned before the end of the year. If all goes well we have planned 10 days in October, 6 days in November, and another 6 days in December (depending on the weather).

About 60 to 70 days min A year . We start as soon as the snow is gone around end of april every weekend almost and then all summer and into the fall for hunting season . We practically live in the trailer for the most part once the kids are out of school . We do lots of camping close to home and I drive back and forth to work from the trailer .
