Independent Extended Warranty

We are buying a new class C and I am researching extended warranties that we would purchase independently of the dealer. I'm looking at a company called Wholesale Warranties. Do any of you have experience with them? Thanks

Before I'd buy any extended warranty, I would ask them to send you the "fine print" of all the conditions and exclusions as to what is and isn't covered. Read it carefully as some have requirements for annual service and maintenance especially sealing the roof.
All will no doubt require approval until any work can begin so expect your coach to sit for weeks at a service center until warranty work can begin.
If it were me, I would put the purchase cost of the warranty into a savings account and self-insure yourself.
The big expenses on a class C are the powertrain, assume Ford will cover that with the 3/36 and 5/60 factory warranties. Those can be extended with Ford extended warranty products.
Be prepared to sit through the finance manager gantlet and his/her high pressure extended warranty sales pitch. Dont fall for it, you have a year to decide.
Just say no.

One reason I'm researching options before I take delivery is to have some comparison on price and coverage. Also to investigate the actual insurer's rating. I'm not inclined to buy from dealer anyway. 😉 And we may well decide to self insure. I'm concerned that this is a much bigger investment than the trailer was and it had a full-side slide. I'm not too concerned about the engine oil r other that Ford covers. More concerned about the components of the living area.

There are a lot of extended warranty companies to choose from. Online research about consumer complaints or satisfaction should get you some idea how Wholesale Warranties does business.

Please be careful - read the fine print carefully. If you correspond with them about questions, do it via email and keep copies of the promises.

Remember this - it's like going to a casino - they are betting that they will collect more than they have to spend and the odds are in their favor.

Enjoy that new rig!!

Check out XtraRide. We had great success with our 5 year platinum policy for our fiver. Used it all over the States with no problems. Usually used it at independent RV service/mobile shops. Definitely got more than our $$$ worth. I have never heard anything but good about this policy.
I was just wondering, that since your drive train is covered by Ford, if you could get just a policy for the RV portion? Hmmmm.

X2 on XtraRide. We got back 2.33 times what we paid. One claim was approved just days before the contract expired and was paid a few days after expiration.
