It ain't the bank's no more

My wife supprised me this evening with a nice little letter from the bank with whom we had our trailer note. $0.00 ballance due!!

We've had our trailer for 21 months and now it is 100% ours!

When we purchased the trailer we took out the standard 12 year note with the intention of paying it off soon but I had no idea the determination of my loving wife to get'er done!

Absoflippintively awesome!

If'n ya can't tell..... I'm sorta kinda happy right now.

just thought I'd share

happy camping y'all!

Dave Ramsey would be proud!! And frankly, I am proud of you too, because now you have $X00.00 more each month to go camping with. I was wondering if I should write a post about our plans to pay cash for our trailer.

You may recall I said we were going to order in April 08. We've changed our minds. We are going to save our money and pay cash outright for the trailer.

Thanks for the inspiration. I'm going to write that post now. Tell your wife I'm impressed!

I am proud for you GREAT GOALS!!!!

We were fortunate enough when we bought ours and they asked about the loan. Well We were blessed and paid cash. Blew there mind when I paid by 100.00 bills.

I saved for three years cause I am tired of notes for the luxuries in life.

Our First trailer I financed for 7 years and paid off in 3. Man that felt good

Again CONGRATS!

Thanks all!

My wife is truly amazing. She holds down a great job and maintains our books and keeps me from spending too much while allowing me some luxuries. She is also a listener to Dave Ramesy and I know that he has inspired her to do what she has done to help bring us out of debt. One step at a time.

I always listen to the wife, God bless her. TT will be paid off in two years. House will be paid off in 2 and one half years. All vehicles will be paid off in eight months. We are both teachers and have been cut to the bone with furloughs. We lost 18% of our income the last year due to cuts and down-sizing. We are gonna make it thank God.

Congratulations!!

About 10 years ago my wife and I decided that we wanted to buy a camper some day. We decided it best to save up rather than finance. In 2004 we spent some of the savings on a Rockwood PUP (just couldn't wait). We continued to save until 2008. Went to the dealer and found what we liked, but it was pretty expensive. We were able to make a deal because the dealer gave us 100% of what we paid for the PUP in 2004 (minus the A/C we added in 2005) so we had enough cash to buy it outright. Paying cash was probably the best financial decision we have ever made.
