Model Comparison

We're first time buyers, looking at a Sierra or a Sandpiper; can anyone help me understand the difference between the:

Sierra 402QB
Sandpiper 404QBWD

Specifically the extra "WD" - what does that mean? Is there a glossary of what these suffixes mean for these two product lines?

And what about the 404 vs 402 - is 402 just older model? Both are listed as 2018.

Thank you!

They are twin brands with the same floorplans.
Only differences are outside graphics and interior decor.
Made in same factory.
Just like Rockwoods and Flagstaffs.

Thanks, I figured the branding part - but the model numbers and suffixes are different, too.

So for example, forgetting the Sandpiper, just focusing on the Sierra:

The unit for sale near by is a Sierra Destination 402QB. That model is no longer listed on Forest Rivers site. What is listed is 404QBWD.

My first impression is the 402 vs 404 is just a the difference in years - like the unit I am looking at is a 2017/2018 and we're in to 2019/2020 so they've bumped the number up by two.

But what about the QB vs QBWD? What does the W and the D mean?

We're no longer talking about the (lack of) difference in brand, these are both "Sierra Destination 40xxxx" models.

Just a guess, but looking at the slight difference in floor plans, I'd say, Quad Bunk, Wardrobe. The 402 has a bed slide and the 404 has a fixed bed and wardrobe slide.
