Need feedback to make roadside assistance purchase

My roadside assistance policy provided by the RV seller is expiring. We have a 2304 DS. We have received offers from AAA, Good Sam, and Coach-Net (originally provided by the vendor). What should I look at? Which one is the best? Looking for help if tire blows out, tow vehicle breaks down, etc. I have extra year warranty from Forest River already. Any feedback will be appreciated.

I have had positive results with coach net. They may be a little pricey but my experience has been good.

We bought roadside assistance through Good Sam. They came through with flying colors a couple of months ago in Florida- we broke a leaf spring in a Walmart parking lot on a Sunday. We had no luck finding a local tech. They got a guy to me in 3 or so hours and then he spent the next 2-3 hours fixing it.

I’ve read success and war stories for all major providers. You just sort of have to pick one and hope for the best.

Haven't had the need to use it yet, but I have roadside assistance through my RV insurance (Progressive). My auto insurance also provides as long as the TT is in tow.

I have Good Sam and have had fairly good luck with them. (Mostly interstate roadside blow outs) Response time could be better but I have had AAA on family vehicle in the past and there average response was about the same (90-120 minutes)
They are considerably less expensive than AAA rv coverage. I have no experience with any others so shop carefully

X2 with Chief T, I also have roadside assistance through my Auto Insurance. My insurance also provides roadside assistance for our 5ver even though they are on separate policies.

Before anyone recommends a roadside insurance that should have experience using that roadside service while RVing. This is especially true of those who have ERS through their auto insurance company.

There are only two ERS companies that are designed for RVers and those two are Coach-net and Good Sams. If you're towing a trailer out of state and your truck breaks down be sure your insurance company will take care of your trailer too and not leave it on the side of the highway.

I have had good experiences with both Good Sams and Coach-net and in my opinion they are the only two I would consider if towing a trailer.

We had Good Sam Roadside for about 15 years.
We last used them about 5 years ago and they were quick and efficient.

As of two years ago, we now insure our vehicles and our 5th wheel, all through Good Sam so roadside is included.

I had Good Sam's Roadside Assistance (GSRSA) on my previous TT for two years and used it once when I ran out of gas somewhere outside of Nowheresville, Nebraska on a sunny Saturday afternoon, which was also the day before the Sturgis, SD Rally started.

Took them close to two hours to get there and they charged me $5.00 per gallon for 5 gallons of gas (which turned out to be flex fuel, which my truck at the time did not use).

But at least it got me to civilization, not to mention about a year to blow the soot out of the engine.

I dropped GSRSA when I got my current 5'ver because it came with one year free CoachNet (which I never used), and my insurance also has roadside assistance, which I've never used.

However, when I departed Denver three weeks ago on the first leg of my full-time journey, I stopped at the local Camping World and renewed my GSRSA as out here in the wild, wild west you can never have enough roadside assistance when you might need one of them.

We have had Good Sam for years and have used it multiple times. I have seen all sorts of horror stories about how they were left stranded or they wouldn't take them to the shop of their choice, but the closest, etc.

I will say that if you use it twice during any calendar year, they will inform you that it is no longer of any use until the next renewal date. I can understand that and have no problem with it. I only use it when I REALLY need it.

I have been a AAA member for 16 years and don't remember ever using it. I was in NM. earlier this year and needed them for an issue with my TV. They do not offer 24 hr. service on weekends. I will be switching to someone else before I hit the road again.

Good Sam is probably the one I would normally have gone with, cause I think you get a few more little perks when you sign up but I will never buy anything to do with CW or Good Sam just because of their CEOs political views.

Good Sam here. Have them since 2012. have used them 5 times so far and have not been let down. Last two times, first from 2 miles away and the next was 10 miles away. I think the longest we waited was an hour and that was the first time and not near anywhere!

I own a 2014 Berkshire and have had AAA RV Plus for 3 years. It was reasonably priced and added to our existing AAA car policy. It was up for renewal and I called to review the policy. I was blown away when I found out it wouldn't cover changing the inside rear wheels/tires if I had a flat.(I should have read the small print!) Luckily, I never needed it for tire repair. I contacted FMCA and for $69/year I got their RV specific policy. The benefits of FMCA membership extend much further and you should contact them.

I have Coach-net and used it twice last year. I'm very happy with the service I received each time.

I had Good Sam Roadside Assistance. I have used them twice in same 2 day timeframe: small town LA & next day-small town TX .Blowouts. They came within the hour which was the good part. I felt they overcharged me; 2 Tires applied for $936-For the first day and $186 for 1 tire and change. Gave me Goodyear and 3 year warranty without asking. I am new at this & a solo female in a 2006 FR SunSeeker. They did reimburse me, $100. For my complaint. I want to try roadside assistance through Escapees. Com. Has anyone tried them?

I have it on my GEICO insurance policy. Broke down on a freeway in Arizona and they sent big truck wrecker within an hour. The wrecker driver knew he had to disconnect the drive shaft to tow my Class A and did so. Took the motorhome to a repair shop some 45 miles away and I paid $0. And my insurance rate did not go up.

I had aaa plus rv I broke down twice.The first I was close to home I had to get my dad come get my camper.I had to complain to them then they reimbursed me for the the cost. Then I broke down with my boat they told me they would only tow it to a truck stop that was close .So my dad came back out and save me again. This time I complain they reimbursed me for it then gave me a free yr.But after the free yr I drop the RV plus and kept AAA plus.I was told when I signed up for it if I use it I would be charge 2 tows which makes since to me being I have 2 vec. being towed.Read the fine print the vec, you towing has to be disable to
