New camper price check
Looking at a loaded puma 39dbt destination trailer. MSRP $47,xxx. We’re at $30,300 and they are going to remove the power awning (were on a permanent site with a deck and roof over) and washer and dryer (bad water so my wife refuses to do laundry at the campground) and credit me $2500 for those items, bringing us down to $27,800 plus tax and title. Does this sound fair?

35% discount and credit you for stuff they take off too? Sounds to me like they are bending over backwards to sell that trailer to you...

If it sounds too good to be true... How long has it been on the lot? (check build date) Check carefully for dealer repairs (Prior roof leaks, body repairs etc) If all looks good, I would say that is a heck of a deal!

I don’t guess it’s been on the lot that long. It’s a 2020 and I think it’s a new floor plan for this year. They didn’t have any when we were in there in November. I’ve never bought a new camper before. I don’t know what the “standard” discount off of MSRP is. I got a bottom line price from a “wholesale” dealership about 6 hours from me and then went to my local dealer and asked them to match

According to See Dealer Cost website:
Puma Destination Trailer 39DBT by Palomino RV 2020
MSRP $37,158.00
Dealer cost $25,626.00
Looks like a good deal to me assuming no hidden defects (31% off). Dealer probably jacked up the MSRP.

I would go for it. Getting credit for removal of things you do not want, unheard of, this dealer must really want to make a sale.

There is a sticker on the left front side of the camper that has the empty weight, gross weight, build date etc. Have the salesman snap a picture of it and send it to you. It could have been transferred from another dealership...
