You can always get a better deal form an outside source. Just like car loans. the dealership get a a cut from the financier

in late 2015 for the trailer and for a truck in mid 2016. they were slightly cheaper than my credit union and included gap insurance at no additional charge.
rate was 5.19 for 56K and 15 yrs. for truck 2.83 for 73k for 7 yrs.
in the past they weren't even close.
us bank was 5.9.

i didn't check good sams this time because they were more than US bank in 2002.

In March my dealer (Berryland) got me a 4.75% loan from US Bank for 12 years. I just refinance with my credit union for 2% less.
Shop around and check to see what the dealer can do for you.
Good luck

I'm a member of two credit unions and their rates are 5.49- 5.9% I also bank with BOA and USAA. I use USAA for all my checking and their rate is 5.25-5.49 depending on length.
I called BOA and they told me they no longer fiance RVs.
State Farm Bank is 4.9%.
One credit union I used to finance our RV a couple years ago was 2.9%, they have gone up on rates.

This is just calling and telling my credit score. I have not have anyone run my credit.

After all the others on this thread getting such good rates with their CU I contacted mine and it's 9.99% and only up to 4 yr term!!!!!!

Try State Farm bank. I didn't use them, but they were good and had 'built in' GAP insurance.

I won't pay above 3%. That's the absolute top end. If they want my financing business, that's my rules. Never had any purchase stopped because of that. Reluctantly paying 2.99% on trailer and 1.9% on truck.

I belong to 3 credit unions and none of them like to do RV loans but 8% is the best rate for 60 months. (RV / Boat Loans)....... But I can get 2.49% on a car or truck.

We are getting ready to sign off on our deal tomorrow. We looked at various credit unions and other places, but truth be told, the dealer was able to get us the best rate. 4.9%

And, unfortunately the interest is no longer deductible.

We opted for cash from our Roth IRA.

Did that change with the new tax cut? It was deductible last year as a second home.
