Order Lead Times on Cherokee Alpha Wolf TT
I ordered an Alpha Wolf 26RB-L in early February from a dealer who up to now has been forthright. The salesman did say it would be 6 weeks until FR would issue a VIN number and a production schedule. It has been 8 weeks and the dealer has not received a word back.
I have been reading that there have been big factory production delays, although not from official avenues. Has anyone heard the same, different?
I'm under the impression that the dealer is becoming aware as the delays occur. Its possible that they do not wish to deliver bad news. Can anyone add some facts?

Late January/early February orders are currently expected to be delivered in the June timeframe, according to other reports.

That's about what the salesman says. Although he is also saying that he is not getting consistent lead times between brands.
Thanks

Just Purchased 26bhd-L
We just purchased 2 days ago and were instructed not to expect anything until late July to possibly late August.

Sounds like your salesman is quoting pre-Covid times. COVID has thrown production time estimates out the window. (Yes still and not just for RVs)

We reached out to him this week and he basically said the same thing. No consistency across the board; it's impossible to tell when. Wish me luck, we are supposed to get a schedule next week.
Thanks!

I was at the Cherokee plant 2 weeks ago, you would be surprised at how many trailers are just sitting on their lot waiting for parts. It's not always the manufacturer's fault. They will build a trailer but will not ship it until everything is installed. I saw several trailers that only needed curtains, go figure. The shut downs last year had a huge domino effect, still not caught up yet.

R-pod 180 on order here, from Amarillo....ordered March 2, 2021 and also awaiting delivery.....apparently, there was a fire in Goshen that caused a delay with R-pod's sidewall construction......anyone have info on R-pod production? Told by the dealer to expect delivery mid-May.

R-Pod
I read an article that said the other plants are distributing the work for the laminating plant that burned down. Supposedly, it will not be delayed. However, my understanding is that FR run their brands like separate companies as far as production is concerned. There are different lead times for different brands.

I’ve heard from my local dealers and across state that lead times are not guaranteed and not to expect anything until July/August/September. Raw materials are still scarce along with semiconductors. Some are fully built just waiting for a vent or window frame/etc...I had to drive 350 miles to get mine. Everything in my state sold out/in transit/over priced...Take it from Guns and Roses...Just a little patience...

Happy Camper
They just got back to us this week. June 10th is the supposed the completion date. We figure it will be around July which will put the order process about 5 months.
The wait will allow to put a couple bucks away for all those gadgets we want to install.
Rock on!
