PDI, Pre Delivery Inspection.



Before I sign, I'm going to inspect it. If I find anything wrong, they need to fix it. I'm not paying them to get a unit into shape to sell it to me.


After the sale walk through and operation familiarization is something different. If the dealer does not have the knowledge or the time or wants to charge for it, I'll find another dealer.


Before we we decided to get a Riverstone I was looking at Newmar MH, I could see paying for factory delivery with multiple days of a factory tech to hand hold you and fix anything.

We have had 15 RVs , 4 of we bought from Camping World , I find that they are no worse and no better than any of them . Your experience will depend on their attitude and to large extent your attitude .

We drove a little more than an hour and a half for ours. Would have driven 4 hours as plan b.

For the PDI the dealer sent us a YouTube video walk through ahead of time. When we got there I requested my own time to check everything myself before handing over the $$$ and they gave me no trouble. I was able to check a few items not in the video. Overall I was happy but I don’t need a walk through on how the stuff works or how to operate it. I need the walk through it to ensure it works!

You might say I do a lot of research before I bother going to purchase. I once had a couple on a similar TT review schedule at a trailer show ask me if I worked for Forest River.
