Mcgeorge rolling hills rv in Ashland is about a hour and a half from you. Large inventory, good sales department. Not happy with there service department. Another large dealer next door and a third in Thornburg half hour away.

1. These are all made on he same assembly line regardless of the dealer.
2. The dealer is the final quality control point and the PDI is vital.
3. Just like it's not a car dealer's job to teach you how to drive it's not the trailer dealer's job to teach you how to camp.
4. After-sales service by dealers is almost uniformly abysmal.

I second Shady Maple. We ordered in August and picked our 2604SW in Oct. Working with Ray was great. Service guys Dave and Jim are always helpful. Tell Ray we referred you.

I'm a little further west in Virginia. I purchased my 2109S from RV Outlet USA (rv007.com). They weren't too bad to deal with: no add on fees and no pressure to buy any kind of policy. They asked once, I said "no thanks", and that was it. They are near Danville.

2509S
I purchased my 2509S in July. Since you’re willing to travel to get it you need to call Haylett RV in Coldwater Michigan. I drove from Houston,Tx. to pick up ours. Talk about hassle free. Saved thousands going there.

We ordered our 2511S from Dodd Rv in Yorktown VA. Our sales rep, Robin, gave us an order sheet for possible upgrades. We filled it out, emailed it to her and had a quote in less than one business day. Expect around 25% off list, give or take. She did try and talk me out of the Window upgrade and the 12 vdc fridge but was not pushy or hard sell in anyway.

If you can not get their attention before the sale, much do you think you will get after the the sale.
And we wonder why dealerships change hands so often.
Is the current busines model so profitable or the opposite and they have no idea of business sustainability.

Can someone advise me to a reliable and helpful RV dealer?
Thanks.

I had very courteous service and the best price I found anywhere plus an included 3 hr inspection/training on the RV from Cheyenne Camping Center in Walcott, IA.
I drove from Florida to pick it up because of their price and reputation. My salesman was John Watkins.
Good-luck!

Dealer customer service
We live in north Georgia and ordered a new 2506s from Wana RV in Shipshewana IN that is due in the middle of Feb. We ordered it on Oct 1 2020 and Keaton the person we are dealing with has been great. He has kept us up tp date on the progress and just called us yesterday and said that it should be ready to p/u in the middle of Feb, fingers crossed. Wana RV is about 20 miles from the Rockwood factory so they can pick up as soon as the RV is finished so no waiting for a truck to deliver it to dealer. I found there price to be the best that I found and makes the 1240 mile round trip well worth it.

Good choice
I have been following walk thru videos from Haylett RV in Coldwater Michigan on YouTube for years. They are a family owned dealership and seem to be extremely upfront straight shooters. Might be worth at least a call. That is a terrific trailer and as of the 2021 models they are now using Azdel instead of luan in the walls.

My wife and I went through the same thing when we went to purchase ours a few years ago. We knew what we were in the market for and when we went to what we thought were "reputable dealers" CW, GRV and some others we were very disappointed in theie responses and techniques of trying to put us into a trailer at FULL MSRP and not what the market was going on them. We then found Best RV in Turlock, California, Look them up, I'm not sure if they are still doing out of area sales, but it is well worth the effort. We purcahased out new FR Wildwood 27RKSS with a $12K discount and the terms were such when I mentioned it to my sister-in-law who just purchased her new 5th wheel at GRV and got taken to the cleaners, because we looked up her same model on Best RV's website and they had it advertised for $45k less. It would have been well worth her going 8 hours to get it. You are better to shop for a large Volume Forest River Dealer that will work with you and not some National Dealer who will go for the One-time Sale.
One other thing about Best RV, in November 2019, we had a large snow packed branch fall across the front cap of our trailer and the propane tanks. total damages were $11K. Just shy of the 45% that would have totaled our trailer by our insurance standards. We towed our trailer the 8 hours to Best RV for repairs, since they were a Manufacturer Rep. It did take a while due to some changes in Forest River's parts availability and COVID restrictions and then California Wildfires. They had our unit available by May, we however didn't pick it up until Labot weekend, due to all the Fires. Our Ranch property access had been closed until then. Best RV did an execellent job on the repairs and I will attest no leaks. I have spent the past 6 weeks in our trailer in tempuratures as low as 23 degrees and had the heater at 67 degrees because any higher and it's too warm.
Good Luck on your search,
Bill G

The OP lives on the East Coast so they would be better off going to a Midwest dealer.
Also, our experience with Best RV and their internet reputation is the complete opposite of your experience.
