Question about extended warranty

I just traded in my 2013 Jayco Octane T26Y toy hauler for a 2022 Alta 3150 KBH. What is the best after market extended warranty and where can I get it. It was a toss up between the 34BHTS Aurora and the Alta 3150KBH. Needless to say the Alta won. More storage in the Aurora but the layout is better in the Alta. Thanks guys.

Myself, other forum members, and some travelling buddies have all had excellent experiences with an XtrARide platinum policy.
I used mine all over the country and never had a problem.
This is one place to get more info: https://www.eaglevisionrv.com/Xtrari...BoChWwQAvD_BwE

Be sure and and do your own research and read all the fine print no matter what policy you decide on. Some extended warranties have severe limitations/requirements.

I bought and made good use of the same extended service contract ScottWildcat mentioned here. I paid $1800 for 5-year coverage on my 5th wheel. It paid $4200 in two big repair events at a service center 35 miles from my house.

Congratulations on your new rig. I see why you like the layout.

We didn't buy an extended warranty and we've been lucky because the cost of any repairs were less than the cost of a warranty.

Extended warranties have good profit margins for the companies issuing them. That's why they can afford to pay healthy commissions to dealers for selling their product. On average, it's cheaper to self-insure (pay for your own repairs) and pocket the profit.

That said, there is a legitimate risk-spreading feature to extended warranties, provided the issuer doesn't make the claim and repair process too difficult. In addition to reading the fine print about inclusions and exclusions, also take a close look at the claim process. Read reviews, and maybe even call the claim line to see what kind of response you get.

I'd suggest getting an exclusionary warranty. It will list what is not covered.

I use RV Care and suggest you check them out. Short exclusions list, easy to deal with, and they are efficient from start to finish.
