I live in Southwest Louisiana, doesn't get cold enough to winterize. Our lot was large enough that I was able to have a metal cover erected that covers our 5th wheel TT and two boats. Sold one boat, so have a empty stall that will hold a pop up or 20 ft. boat. Empty stall will rent cheap.

Wow, have we ever been getting a good deal!!

Our winter storage was covered, no heat, no hydro, securely locked. No access until it is time to take them out in the spring. Only $10.00 / ft plus 13% tax for the 6 month term. Unfortunately the building was destroyed in a tornado last spring, so that location is out.

We have a storage unit rental close to home, and the renters are permitted free outdoor RV storage as long as they rent a locker. That could end, as the owner is rapidly adding more lockers and the vacant area is disappearing. There is a locked gate, and a very basic video surveillance system covering the gate only, but only one break-in in the last 6 years, so we can live with that.

I'll never complain again, so nice to live in a small town away from the really large city problems.

T.v. Storage

I live in a gated (5 star) community in South Texas, which has an RV storage lot. Cost is $15 per month. Gotta love Texas.

We live in Ft Myers during the winter. Storage lot, 40' bay covered with 30 A service, wash station, dump station. 230 per month from October till May. We don't get there till November/December and pay in advance to hold a spot. Can't store our RV where we are in Ft. myers, but worth having it here with us when we want to go somewhere.

South Texas yes. Central Texas no. We have a spot similar to Puma's and we started out at $65 a month 4 years ago and are now up to $110 a month.

We do not live in a gated or HO a community in Chili, NY. When we built our home in 2004 we had them extend our driveway alongside the garage all the way to the backyard. We are allowed to store our camper there as long as the front of the camper does not extend past the front of the house. That Cost us exactly $600. Now that's a deal. We specifically built where we did because we were not restricted by a homeowners association.

After reading some of the posts, I guess I should stop complaining about the cost of storing our TT. The cost increased from $4.00 a foot to $5.50 a foot, but considering it is in a climate controlled building, and is brought out when requested, washed and put up at the end of the trip, we are getting a bargain. After the price raise, I checked multiple locations. Most either did not have an opening, or charged about the same, with fewer of the benefits.

Our fairgrounds $214,plus $10 extra for each foot past 20’. That gets you indoor storage, no heat, electric or water from October 15 to March 15. Last year I didn’t put it in but this year I did for the winter. I got a spot near the door so we can leave in the winter and put it back. I also can park at our house. Jay

I'm in North Central Arkansas and pay $1600 a year for indoor with 20 amp power included.

Lots of storage units here, but little availability.

My unit is 12x40. Just fits my 34 ft fiver.

I am in Orlando. Are there other parking sites at your facility that might be available in the 11x35 range?

Our county fairgrounds in central Minnesota charges $10 per foot for the entire storage season which is from mid October to end of March. It is indoor storage, no heat, electric or water. Floor is fresh wood shavings. No access of any kind allowed during storage, as the trailers are packed in tight. Strict rules regarding there is a 4 hour window for dropoff day and pickup day. If you don't get your RV on the pickup day, there is a $50 per day charge.

Talking

We store our little 5er in a fenced lot with coded key pad here in western South Dakota. Six years ago, when it first opened, we paid $15.00 a month. Two months free if paid by the year. Now its $22.00 a month. No services, just a place to store an rv. Last year they leased the spot next to me,(north west side) to someone with a beautiful UMUNGOUS class A. I'm talking half a million$$$. I was terrified I might put a scratch or dent in it backing my 5er in!
I have'nt hit it yet, and that big puppy protects me from the hail!

$35 a month, 5 miles from my house in Madison, WI. The lit is gated. Owner lives on one side of the lot and his dad lives on the other side. Rate has been the same for 3 years.

Have outdoor storage with gravel yard, card access and video surveillance. Was $60/month and just recently jumped to $80/month. Started looking elsewhere but will wait till spring as lots seem to be full around here (GTA).

We park ours at my dads house in showlow. He always mentioned that we are storing our rv at the property. I finally figured it out. Write him a check for $500 bucks once a year. He hasn’t complained since.
He even installed a 30amp plug for us! \

The second year 9.5, and 9.5% again this year. I did comparison shopping to check on options this time, and sure enough, my rate is within market parameters. In the process, I discovered that the storage facilities apparently increase rates, in part, according to computer programs that monitor the increasing property values. That seems to fit with the sense I get of what property values are doing in my area. The "hitch" for me is that my income is not reflected in those increasing property values. I felt fortunate to get a 2.9% increase this year, and a portion of that will go for higher health insurance rates. I was wondering if other RV owners who store off their own property were facing these kind of increases. If so, could Good Sam or other RV organizations be possible advocates for us with storage companies?
Wow, I thought our storage was a little high. Guess not. We're at an rv dealership that has fenced, paved storage. The pop up was $35 a month. Now the Roo 21SS is $55 a month.

We actually have 2 spaces and need to decide which to keep. We pay $50 per month for uncovered for a 41' FW. Also have a 14 x 45 completely enclosed garage we pay $295/mo. Got the enclosed w/power so I could have a place to get most of our renovations done without having to drag to house. Houston, TX area.
