Bought my crossroads TT in August.
Purchased 4 years rv care for about 2k.
Trading in the TT on a sabre, and rv care tells me there's nothing they can do with the policy.
Yep, that's fairly typical. None of the "extras" like this, extended warranties, etc. transfer to new owners or move with you to a new rig.
That's how they stay in business because they know the owner that bought it loses it when they move to something else. Don't buy them unless you plan to keep the rig a while or you get it in writing that it will transfer.
Many have learned like you have... the painful way!

I think service warranties differ greatly. I was comfortable with the extra security blanket with Route 66 contract sold by dealer at negotiable cost for my former Crossroads TT. The contract and seller said it was transferable and refundable and after less than two years the dealer returned proportionate cost when I traded in Crossroads TT (elsewhere) and bought current Forest River Wildcat TT and cancelled contract.
I did offer business to original dealer but we couldn't agree to terms
I'm not saying they are for everyone and I only had one small claim.
Read fine print, especially exclusions
