'Stand-Alone' Insurance in Massachusetts

So, we didn't do our homework and after moving car insurers to save a good amount of $, learned that the new insurer does not cover campers over 3klbs in Massachusetts. Does anyone have a recommendation on a stand-alone insurance provider for campers that we should reach out to? My first web search turned up Farmers, but after 20 minutes on the phone with them they said they couldn't cover it because our storage location (which may not be the permanent location) was within 5 miles of the water (and soon to be waterfront property, presumably).

I think I've seen a few other threads where RV insurance was discussed extensively. You might want to do a search on the topic.
To answer your question I found Shelter insurance to be some good folks to work with and they wrote a policy for my Silverback with no hassle at all, and it weighs in the 13,000 lb range. Also they were less expensive than State Farm who has my home and other vehicles.

We have Safeco. But had Progressive before. Both pretty good.

We had Geico. Bought a new trailer and got a better deal with Progressive. Not just cheaper but broader coverage also.

If you are old enough try AARP Hartford insurance.

I put my 4 cars on USAA and my camper on GEICO. I then moved one of the cars to GEICO, which qualified me for their multi-vehicle discount.

So, the results so far:

GEICO: No
Progressive: No
Good Sam: No
NIIC: No
Blue Sky: No
Safeco: No

Foremost: Maybe...working with an agent. Might have to abandon GEICO for auto insurance to make this happen.
