I paid $16,500 in cash to a couple for my 5th wheel. We deposited the money into the seller's bank account. The teller asked us the reason for the large deposit and we both told the it was none of their business. They can ask but you don't have to answer.
Hate the fact that depositing and withdrawing money is considered abnormal and criminal by our government.

You do not have to file form 8300 if your transaction is strictly personal and not related to business.

I just deposited a large sum from a trailer sale, and the only question I got asked was "Would you like to buy a CD with better interest rate?"
