Trying to down grade from large 5th to smaller trailer..very confusing.

We are in our 80s and in process of building our (hopeful) last very small home. We have over years gone through 7 RV's. This last one is an Elkridge by Heartland .29RLSB. Living in it while house being build and love it. Have had some wonderful RV over years traveling Alaska, Mexico, Guatemala, all around US We are now going to do most of our RVing with our children from now on...so trying to down grade. We know the blue book on ours is 24,000
Looknig at something 25 foot or to 20 ...We narrowed our search down to a Keystone Bullet 220RBI has two slides and seems roomy enough for camping short periods. We also have been shown some with a very similar length and floor plan. Dealers have quoted us pricing from32,000 to 22,000 for the same model. The 22 thousand was when we used the Costco system..and the dealer had to give us the sticker price...not some inflated price Problem is they only list one dealer close to us and the other over 100 miles away.
We have become very confused....and there does not seem to be any one out there that has the Bullet and can give us any suggestions on that one or other small ones? We really need some help. We live just north of Vancouver Washington close to Oregon..

This forum is generally used by people that own Forest River products. The Keystone Bullet is a RV manufactured by Thor industries. You may have better results in finding Bullet owners by asking in a Thor forum.

Oh dear Sorry ...Since coming on here last year have seen all types of questions on other rVs and tow vehicles...Was not aware this was closed door to other persons without a Forest River product.....Obvious for so many years RV'ing I was not aware Forest River were only concerned about themselves and others just buying into Forest River products...certainly glad I ever bought a Forest River those are not the type my wife and I care to be involved with....

This is the FOREST RIVER FORUM site. Perhaps you meant the other "generic" RV site "IRV2"? www.irv2.com

People come here to post about the Forest River product they own. You would be better going to another site to talk about something not manufactured by Forest River, since everyone on this site has a Forest River and knows nothing about other brands.

It is not a Forest River only closed forum. It is just that you asked about a product that is not made by Forest River and would get better results on a forum other than this one.

I think they also asked about other small tt's too, maybe if anyone would happen to know or have experience with a comparable model that FR offers? All I have experience with is the entry level Wildwood, not sure that would be a good fit for them but we sure did enjoy that little TT 😊

You mention that you see other brands of RV's on this forum. Forest River manufacturers 38 brands of RV's including motor homes.

As a suggestion you may want to take a look at a Cherokee 204RB or a Evo T2050 which are nearly an identical floorplan to the TT you have studied. Perhaps the fit and finish may suit your needs.

If you go to www.forestriverinc.com you will see the many different brands they make. Many of the people that own Forest River products are proud members of FROG (Forest River Owners Group) which is over 50,000 strong and you will see FROG mentioned very often on this forum. We don't mean to run anyone away from this forum but would like to see new people join us.

Coming to FROG forums and wanting info on every brand of RVs is like going to a General Motors web page and asking which Ford is the best one.

I know a very happy Bullet owner, on his 2nd one. You will probably get more info on the Keystone forums ~~ Keystone RV Forums

Austin, I believe BooBoo was only trying to help you get the best help, by recommending a forum for your brand.
How was he to know that you had been here for awhile?
No one said you couldn't belong here, just that you might get better help from a forum of your brand.

Not sure why you seem angry about people trying to help. Especially when you asked about the Bullet, which nobody here probably owns.
Also, this Forum has no affiliation with Forest River Corporation.
It's just a forum mainly made up of owners of Forest River products.

I would suggest looking at FR different lines and floor plans and seeing what might fit your needs. It's easier to provide feedback when the selection is narrowed down a bit. Members often will offer viewpoints on what know about the different models.

Sorry but I'm not familiar with about the Bullet line you are interested in.

I'm pretty sure someone made Austin mad, and he is done with this forum. Don't blame him though....he's in his 80's and we should show a little respect for the older folks, as he probably didn't understand what we are all about. Just sayin'.....

Yes, in his 80's and doesn't understand what this forum is all about. Gotta give him credit, I guess, for wanting a smaller trailer. I'm not sure I'd want to pull a trailer at that age. A small motorhome, maybe.

I'm 68 and have had a class C which is confining with 2 people. Went to a class A pulling a car. More comfortable pulling a TT if not for a back broke 45 years ago and weight of the hitch and bars. Nothing like a 5er for us old folks.

This may be a Forest River forum but he was not telling you it is closed to other than Forest River owners and to go away. What he was very politely telling you is that you may have better luck in a forum dedicated to the brand of RV you are seeking information about.

Austin:

You will find a Thor products forum here:

Thor Forums - Powered by vBulletin That forum is run by the same folks as this one and that community is just as nice, friendly and helpful as this one. They will be familiar with the Keystone Bullet.

See the bottom of this page for links to all of our RV forum communities.

I don't care what brand of RV you own or what kind you are looking for if I can help you I will. The best camper I ever own was a Keystone Springdale, when someone ask a question I try to help them out. There is a lot of people on here that has SOB, doesn't bother anyone. I don't know everything that's for sure and I have a lot learn, I forgot how old I am, it's a little past 25
