Warranty

Just bought a new flagstaff 831rblss and it came with a one year bumper to bumper warranty but after doing some checking found out Forest River has an extended warranty for for $150.00 and the dealer never told me when I called Forest River they said most dealers don't tell you so you will buy there warranty. So to all the new RV owners give them a call to find out about it. And happy camping.

If I remember correctly from previous discussions the price vary from type of unit. I believe I paid $150 too.

Depends on the unit you buy, My XLR got a quote from Forest River for $250. Had heard they had a time restriction- like you had to buy it in the first 90 days, but when I e-mailed them they never said anything about it.

With all the problems I am having with my 2013 Columbus I am going back to the dealer and purchase it, as I would advise any owners of Forrest River products.

Warranty

Is there a phone number to call or an address to contact concerning the extended warranty? Thanks for the information.

Hi Brutus,
What kind of problems? I have new 2013 Columbus I am having slideout problems with. That's most serious issue. Have had issues with both slides. Refrig big panel fell off, door stop useless. (Metal rod screws into plastic & won't hold) Some trim loose. I want that warranty too!

320 Columbus

Nothing real major just the kind of things that a quality control process should have caught. Evertime we use it there is something.
Couldn't flush the black water tank-valve installed wrong
Window leaking rain
Kitchen faucet loose-screws laying on shelf-I fixed
Central vaccuum would not work
Celing fan fell breaking light globe-not tightened properly.
Just waiting to see what happens next
I have owned 2 Hitchhickers and did not have this many issues (none actually) with both units.

I had Hitchhiker II for nine years & traded it in on the Columbus. Like the Columbus but concerned about quality.

Not sure if each type of unit has a special contact person or not for the 2nd year warranty. There is a contact phone number listed in the link below. Also already mentioned are a couple other threads on this topic. Once I located them I will be happy to give your the link to those discussions.
