What is a good price for a 2013 Wildcat 312BHX?

I went to a couple of whholesalers and found the "best price". I didn't expect my local dealer to meet or beat it, but I did want them fairly close.

And, to preempt the posts... A "good price" is one that you're willing to pay and are happy with. :-)

To be completely serious- I want to get the best price, but I don't worry myself with what my neighbor pays.

Ependydad,
I understand what you are saying, but I'm trying to ensure that I am not getting ripped off.

Contact the wholesalers, as they usually give you their best price. Then phone around the country to some of the bigger dealers, some advertise on ebay. That should give you a good idea.
Prices change, so asking people on this forum what they paid may not provide an accurate picture.

yes, just get a price from someone like RVW. their prices are always the lowest and are used for shoppers to compare with.
RVDirect is also used but not sure if they sell Wildcats.

it would also help if you posted your locations, so that members can refer you to certain dealers.

If you are anywhere near Minneapolis, check out Coates RV.
That is where we bought ours, and they matched the wholesaler's prices.
Plus, nice to deal with a family-owned dealer.
And they have one in stock!

Check out www.couchsrvnation.com . They sell Wildcat and they were way lower than our local dealer on Silverback. Sometimes local dealers will get close to the wholesalers prices.
Remember that the local dealers are not required to do warranty work for units that they did not sell.....like car dealers. Most will do the work but after all of their own customers are taken care of.

Didn't end up with a wildcat, but was quoted right at 30k for a 312BHX last winter. I'd think somewhere around 32k would be pretty good.
Good luck

Thanks for all of the help gentlemen. I had been able to negotiate a new 2013 (early build) 312BHX with the outside kitchen to $31,800.
I just needed a sanity check.
Thanks again!

No, I got an offer from the dealer, left a $500 check and walked out. Trying a little cooling off period while I researched what would be a fair price for the RV.
The only problem in my eyes is that it is an early 2013 build and the price is the same for a 2014 (according to the wholesalers). Only difference is the size of the TV in the living room (has a 32", 2014 has a 40"). In the long run, I don't know of the consequences of buying an "old" new RV.

It all depends if you want the camper today, or can wait for a new one.
Personally, I would want the new one, and not one that has already been sitting outside for up to a year or more. But I am a tad fussy, and chose to order mine with the exact features I wanted.

We have a 2013 we purchased last July. I think its a later yr model. We bought ours at Keystone RV Center in Greencastle, PA. They have a couple Wildcats there now. You can check their website out.

I think you should be able to get it for under $30k. I know we did for our 2014, but it doesn't have the outside kitchen which is about a $1500 option. We added every option possible, except the outside kitchen. We went to national rv Detroit. They beat rvw price.

Update

Well, we took the dive!!
We just picked up our 312 BHX-OK from RV wholesalers in Ohio. We drove from NC to pick it up and camped our way back.
We ended up getting it for less than $30k with all of the options except for a second A/C unit... it came with a 13.5 btu unit.

Thanks for all of the help! see y'all on the road!
