Not BS. My wife and I ordered a Wolf Pup on May 12th and picked it up on July 31st. Our dealer told us it is normally a 4-6 week proposition, however the Indiana factory had just opened on May 11th and they came back to a huge stack of orders. People are taking their vacations into their own hands. If you want to wait though I am sure there will be hundreds of RVs to choose from in one to two years when things are fully normal again and many of those RV buyers want to go back to their condos and hotels at Disney. Lol

With the RV industry having a banner year because of the Corona Virus I understand the longer waits for RV's to be delivered. If you think the long wait for your RV to arrive is frustrating .. wait till you see how the the wait will be to have service work completed should you need any!

My dealer tells me there has been so much call to replace defective appliances on FR products, that they now can't build new ones due to supply. Buy an FR and prepare to be disappointed. We've had ours for a year with no refridge or fresh water. Not to mention the 21 other defective things. Good Luck. Might want to check out K-Z RV, I've heard good reports on their quality.

That's another irritant--- They start the Warranty on the date you put down a deposit. So, when you take delivery it's already used months worth of the warranty. Beware of FR. They only want your money and then you will hold your hand on your butt trying to get it usable. If at all.

And it is not just RVs. As a retailer, I can tell you that almost all products are experiencing delays and shortages.

This^^

We had our Quarterly yesterday, and Fulfillment reported up to 120 days to receive containers once they arrive in port due to the Vid. A lot of our inventory has been depleted to the point we had to remove it from catalogs and the websites. We've also drastically reduced stocks to a more slim line forecast since some goods just aren't moving as predicted while others flew off the shelves and now we scramble to recover.

Who did this to you?

Of the 15+ R/Vs I've bought through the years and the dozen or so more I've helped family members through the buying process, not one single transaction started the warranty date upon deposit.

I ordered a E-Pro for March delivery. It gives me (and them) plenty of time.
I work in building material industry and the lack of product available is insane. We are 12-18 weeks for Windows when 2 weeks was the norm. Price increases of 150% plus! Allocation is typical. Its definitely not BS.

That’s a dealer issue, not FR and if I were you I’d be looking for another dealer and possibly an attorney. I’d think your state AG would like to know about this.

AFAIK warranty starts the day of delivery, not day of order. Reason being, no VIN until the order is processed by the manufacturer, you can't warrant what doesn't exist, and also warranty don't start until the vehicle is titled, can't title something that doesn't exist. Sounds like someone was blowing smoke if you know what I mean.

Yeah I'm now at 5-months waiting for GeoPro 16BH. I ordered a 2020 model in May but will get a 2021 model 'around Thanksgiving' I'm told (for the same price). Gave the dealer a non-refundable deposit in May, I'm sure I could get that back but would go to the end of the line LOL...so will let it ride.

Have heard about all the shortages mention in the thread, supposedly the dinette was the issue on 16BH units then the fridge. Since I'll be getting a 2021 the dealer is telling me about new features but I'm having a hard time fact checking all that on-line & the GeoPro website isn't keeping up. One 'upgrade' is the larger 10cuft 12v-only fridge...had to go study up on that because it doesn't sound boondock-friendly but they also told me it comes with upgraded solar (190w vs the current 100w). Did watch some videos on the 12v-only fridge and it looks like it will be OK plus it is larger and cools faster (compressor vs absorption). Those appear to be getting popular (thoughts?). Dealer also said something about 'solid counter-tops for 2021'...so what are the counter-tops on the 2020?

Also worried that after waiting a half-year to get the unit it will have the wrong options or something will be broken & need replaced...anyone who posted on this thread knows what that means

I ordered my class C in February , received in June but their plant shut down completely during COVID . Upon re-opening and my following the completed build the Forest River Rep was great in keeping me updated at where the build/paint stages were. Upon receiving my coach he had stated they were having supply chain issues , specifically at that time propane tanks of all things :-)

Call the FR rep, they can tell you the exact dates for your build .

Pete's RV in S. Burlington, Vermont

I just spoke with Ron at Greywolf and he said the same thing and to talk to my salesman. Still waiting to hear back from him.

Well shame on them.
I hope you get better results once you re-speak with them.

Some upgrades on newer model you’ll see:
Depending on model, 12v fridge, kitchen faucet/sink upgrade, pressed countertops (not laminate) 190W solar, off road standard, keyed alike/keyless, ac standard, light/radio/awning control app, hidden hinges, new lighter wall color and fabric/cabinet colors,
Also if you notice, fresh water changed to 31 from 37 it used to “include” 6 gallon water heater, now it’s just the “tank” size. Still same capacity, just worded different.

My son purchased a 2021 Keystone Cougar in July. It has the same brand of appliances my Salem does, Dometic, Suburban, etc.

The only BS was the 2-6 weeks part. By the end of July dealers already knew deliveries were 90+ days.

When I originally ordered mt FR class C , prior to Covid, I was told between 6-8 weeks for delivery . I had a full body paint done which was 1 week by itself. It pays to get dates so you can constructed a contract with a "deliver by date" clause with the distributor, i.e. I didn't want to take ownership of my RV at end of summer , especially with only a 12 month warranty.

As I worked with the FR rep he mentioned he had sold 150 units to an outfitter in Canada and I wanted assurance that the 150 units wouldnt take precedence over my little single $90K unit :-)
