Tsunami Salvage and/or Bay Hinge Rail Parts

Looking for a Tsunami being salvaged to harvest some bay door hinge rail parts. Anyone know of one being salvaged? FR has been absolutely no help to locate parts or even to identify original manufacturer of hinge rails. Note to self: close electrical bay door before driving out of pole barn … duh!

Thank-you for your reply. I have called FR parts but no parts available and original manufacturer out of business. So far no luck after calling ~25 salvage yards. Cost to have custom AL extruded parts made around $70K (no typo)… too rich for me for two sections of hinge rail 30” long. Looking into 3D AL metal printing but so far that process has size and minimum thickness requirements. Open to any other ideas.

Do you have a pic of what the hinge/belt rail looks like that is used on your coach?

One rail is attached to the bus and runs the entire length. The other half of the hinge rail is attached to the vertically opening bay doors. Seems to be a unique design to the Tsunami. If anyone recognizes this rail on another motorhome, please post the name as that may open many doors (pun intended!).

While looking around on Ebay I spotted a listing for Tear Drop Hurricane Hinge which looks similar to your hinge. The Seller also has other styles available. See Here for the listing.

Found another possible source Here.

I have just ordered a hinge off eBay which is slightly different than in your links. I’ve exhausted calling salvage yards for now and need to get something working within the next few weeks. It’s going to look like heck but should be functional. Thanks for the response.

Ended up going with a replacement hinge. Hopefully, just temporary until I can find a Tsunami salvage hinge. If anyone hears of a salvage, please let me know. Thanks!
