Bigfoot

New owner 2013 Solera only second time using Bigfoot leveling and can't get it to work. First the battery was dead on the remote and I replaced that and the light comes on but the levelers do nothing is there something I need to do besides that. I'm plugged into 110 and everything else works. If it is a fuse which one is it as I can't anything labeled for it. Help Please

Could you need to re-pair the remote to the trailer, like a cell phone and a Bluetooth?

Try the controls in the rear storage area drivers side front wall.

Which model do you have the 24S has the controls inside the passenger side compartment. ( first compartment rear wall near the top of the compartment). I couldn't get my remote to work very well either think it's just a poor remote control.

One thing about the Solera; they are all the same, but different.

Have you tried the on-board controls in the storage area?

Bigfoot Stabilizer Brain teaser Fix

I posted the factory info to reset the controls in a earlier thread. Just a few subjects back. http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...tem-30375.html

Goat 7, you never did say if the on board controls worked or not.

Checked every storage area and did not find any controls. I also looked under the coach by the levelers and nothing there either??

I have a 2014 24R and I also looked at a 2013 24R and the Bigfoot controls were in the large rear storage compartment, drivers side, front wall near the top. Strange that yours are not in the same place. Maybe yours were an add on after original build.

My controls didn't look like and were not marked as controls for the jacks. They just looked like regular switches. I found out what they were when I pushed them to see what they did. I just find it hard to believe that the remote is the only controls on your rig. Look a little harder.

My unit was working but was acting erratic. I sent you the info because someone said maybe you needed to re-pair the remote. The remote is only a transmitter and must be paired with the receiver to make the transition to the pumps that work the levelers. So keep looking for the receiver. Maybe MR B can help. The receiver looks just like the remote but bigger.

I had to almost put my head into the compartment to even see the switches for my Bigfoot. Guess they put them up high so nothing will hit them while traveling?

Found the control It was with the tank under the coach between the spare and rear axle. You had to take the cover off and I synced the remote. I don't know why they didn't put it in a storage compartment it was not a add on and came from the factory like that. I'm back in business now. Thanks to everyone

Bigfoot Stabilizer

Glad it worked out. That is a strange place for it.

mine was in the same location on the ram by the rear axel... My control board went bad (did not pair well with the remote). Bigfoot sent me a new board with the longer wiring harness, and I had the control installed in one of the outside storage compartments like the build them now. Otherwise you would have to crawl underneath the RV to manually move the levelers or re-pair the remote.

I think I might get a hold of them and see if I can get the extension and move it. It is a pain to get to. Thanks

I could not get mine to work either, even after resetting the remote. You did try initializing the remote didn't you? Anyway I called Forest River and they sent me a new remote and a new control unit. That worked.
