Campground Coax Cable Connector
Hello,
I'm desperate to find out where the exterior coax cable connector for using campground cable is. I have renters in my RV who are in Oregon (I'm in Arizona), and asking where that is. Since I have never used campground cable, I really don't know. I have searched the Internet and cannot find the answer.
My RV is a 2014 Solera 24R. Does it have an external cable connector? If so, can anyone tell me where it is?
Thanks to anyone who helps. This renter is a challenging one, and is panicking about not having cable tv on their 2-week trip that just started the day before yesterday.

The cable connection is near the power cord hookup on my 2014 24R. They must also turn off the antenna booster located in the cabinet above the entry door. Then they will need to select cable on the tv menu and do a channel scan.

Wow! Thanks for the quick response! Is there any chance that you could send me a picture of the connection and its location? So sorry to ask. I told these folks that I thought the connector would be near the power hook-up, but they said that they didn't see it.

It is raining here, so no photo. You can't miss it. Small square panel with a plastic/rubber cap in the middle. Three inchs forward of the shore power connection on the driver side of the RV.

Thanks again for the quick response, and the additional description of where it is. This is great!

Are you a commercial operation or renting your private RV?

I am renting privately. I have only owned my RV for a year and wanted to try RVShare. These folks are my first customers. Thanks!

You may, want to mention that occasionally FR doesn't connect the cables correctly. I have a different rig but soon learned the switch had to be set to AUX and not CABLE. Also, you may want to mention that cable is spelled C-A-B-L-E, not S-A-T.

I had problems with the push button position under the entertainment system control panel for a few years, TV was always snowy - turned out there was a push button I didn't see.

My renters found it! It was by the shore power line, just like I told them yesterday. ;-)
This forum is great. Thanks for all of the help. This problem is solved.

Open door cable is.. connection for cable it side inside that door. Then inside camper above the door whaere TV cable is plugged in, there is a push button switch.. press so that green light is off (want green light on for cable and this is on/off swith). Then with TV controls, select cable and run channel search.

Please reread your post one word at a time. I don't think you want the light ON for cable. It should be on for antenna-vision and off for cable on most units.

I hope you have good luck renting that beauty out. It has been my experience that when people drive rental cars, company cars or anything that is not theirs, they "drive them like they stole them". I hope that's not the case for you.

I'm also a newer owner of a 24R. Does one usually need a cable extension to hook up to campground cable?

Yes, you will need an extension. I carry a 12 foot cable. Some times that is not long enough. Usually the cable hookup is on the power pole.
