Electric Step Stopped Working

Can someone tell me what type of electric step we have in our 2015 24R, Forester? We did not receive an owner's manual anddon't know the manufacturer's name.
We are trying to trouble shoot the problem, as it has quit working - - luckily it's stuck in the closed position.
Thanks much!

I did subsequently solve my step issue after they stopped working.

Usually it's not the step fuse on the Solera. Unless they redesigned it in the '14 year, there is a black box under the step, that acts as an override and stops it when the step mechanicals bind. Let me know if you can't get em going and i'll walk you through the fix, assuming thats you're problem.

Hello FIVE2MH, is it working manually ?
Not working at all or just when you turn on the ignition ?

Once again, thanks everyone for your input!

We haven't tried to work the steps manually. However, Jim just got around to taking a look today, and he did find a blown fuse, #5. Don't have a replacement. We're rolling out in the morning from this campground in Fort Smith, MT. We should be able to find one tomorrow along the way, and I'll report back as to whether that is the fix.
Now, our hot water heater isn't working! Well......at least the fishing has been good!

If that fuse (circuit breaker) is the long one, they appear to be hard to find. Monitor your step operation, if it occurs again, It may be a binding issue. Just sayin'

Here is a chart to help. Cooper Bussmann ® - Blade Fuses and Accessories

Also, here is a site that discusses breakers. Bussmann ATC Circuit Breakers | WiringProducts and the various types, either type 1,2 or 3.

It was the 20 amp fuse - #5. We're carrying a few extras now.

Thanks so very much.
Be safe out there.
