MS Murphy bed

I know this is a continuation of an old discussion, but we can't be alone here.

If our murphy bed worked perfectly, I think I'd keep it. It never did, we all know that awful sound. I've replaced the gears (Properly, I'm not a hack!) on the lift mechanism thrice. I've also replaced the nylon sliders. Luckily I had the tools and such to do a field repair on it the one time it failed in-camp, or we'd have to change our mailing address to OBX.

Anyhow, I never liked how the bed blocked the left windows, and the wife absolutely hates it. I'm in the midst of tearing down the chairs, removing the bed, getting rid of the adjacent shelves, rewiring the light switches and waiting for my 74" full queen solution to arrive. The extra foot or so of space when the slide is in will be a nice bonus as well. Our kids will surely appreciate it.
