need info about lavatory sink
I am asking a "stupid" question. Does the lavatory sink drain into the black or grey water tank? It's only water that your face or hands has been washed with.

Without knowing what year, make and model number of Solera you have, I don't think anyone can give you an accurate answer.

Every RV we have ever owned (six over the past 22 years) the bathroom sink drained into the grey tank. Maybe all of them aren't that way - but so far, our experience has been 100% that it drains to grey.
In fact, we had a Cardinal that the bathroom sink and washing machine were both on one grey tank...the shower and kitchen sink on another grey tank. The problem was, we didn't have a washing machine so ONLY the bathroom sink went into that particular grey tank. Honestly it was a real waste.k
By the way - of the six RV's we have, four were Forest River products.

My Sunseeker is the first RV where I KNOW (because I tested) that the kitchen sink and shower empty into the grey tank, and the toilet and lavatory (bathroom) sink empty into the black tank.
Simplest test……with empty waste tanks, run the lavatory tap for 5 minutes, and then see what waste gate valve gives you results.

Not a stupid question

It's not a stupid question. Because of the low volume of water from that sink (compared to the shower or the kitchen sink where dishes are washed), the lavatory sink drain is plumbed to whichever tank is most convenient. It varies from brand to brand and layout to layout.
If it really matters to you, drain both tanks, and start running water through the lavatory sink (or just pour a gallon of water into it), and see which valve lets the water out.

Mine drains into the gray water tank. Draining into the black tank would be counterproductive in my opinion. If you were boondocking it wouldn't make much sense to fill the black water tank with unnecessary water that could actually be drained on the ground. Black water would need to go to a dump site. Just my logic.

Ah, but if you're boondocking where you can't dump (Harvest Host, or parking lot), the gray tank tends to fill up first, so running the sink into the black tank prolongs the time you can stay before leaving to dump.

Mine dumps into the black tank, and all 3 of my RVs have been that way. On my first one I asked why and they said that it is to ensure there are enough liquids in there to keep the solids moving.

The correct answer to your question is YES.
It could drain into the grey water tank or it could drain into the black water tank. It just depends on how the trailer is plumbed.
To my knowledge.......there is NO standard way to do things with RVs.
