radio removal

The radio manual has instructions for removing the radio from the dash. Has anyone else found the radio difficult/impossible to remove using this procedure?

Radio Removal

Not sure which radio you have ' but most come with two small tools that slide into the front slots . This releases the radio so you can pull it forward out of the dash. then you have access to the wiring.

The tools never came with our unit. You need to remove the whole panel to get to the back of it.

We hocked the TV up to it for better sound....

the removal tools came with our unit and using them according to the procedure did not work - the radio would not move.

I ultimately discovered that the radio was not installed in a way that would allow Seriusxm radio tuner installation or to replace one of the two fuses behind the radio. I have since corrected the faulty installation and the radio is now easily removed and replaced per the instructions in the manual.

Has anyone else actually installed the Serius tuner and antenna to take advantage of the "satellite ready" feature of the Magnadyne radio?
