Solera VIN Numbers

I'm just about to pick up a new Solera and I'm a little confused about VIN numbers. I've found the chassis (Mercedes) VIN number, but haven't found another (Forest River) VIN for the motorhome. The dealer seems to think that the Mercedes VIN covers the motorhome as well, but that doesn't match up with my previous RV experience.

Can someone clarify this? If there should be a Forest River number, can someone tell me where I might find it on the unit?

You rarely ever see the coach VIN on anything for a motorhome anymore. Chassis VIN will cover both. There is one, but we never use it to track anything.
