Toggle switches

New to 2013 Solera. What are the three switches on the left by the steps as you enter the rv

On my 2012 "S", step, interior foot lights (at steps and in bath), and porch light. Step is confusing - retracts step when door is closed when "on" (without starting engine). I labeled the switches.

For the step, when you're parked with the engine off, think of "ON" as "Move the step whenever the door opens or closes." Think of "OFF" as "Leave the step extended and don't move it."

On my 24 S when you shut off the engine and open the coach door the step extends out and remains out until the engine is started again. I've heard of some who have overwritten the switch for this to leave the step un extended?

That switch will draw step in so what I do when putting away is close screen door, reach in and turn switch on, step withdraws then turn off battery and close door otherwise step remains out (flip switch back so next time I use it step comes out when I open door)

I thought that the "steps disable" switch had gone away sometime around 2010 (Consumer protection folks) so that the steps would always extend if the door was opened and always retract when close. Our rig has the disable feature. We were on a State ferry early this year (as foot passengers) a big DP came on board and, as is typical, got parked very close to the vehicles in the next row. The one alongside was a new Mercedes 500 sedan.

One of the MH occupants opened the house door and there was an almighty "clang" as the steps extended into the side of the Mercedes. I'm sure glad my GT still has the disable switch. If you know the steps aren't out you can improvise. Better than a $5000 claim against your insurance.
