2013 FR VIBE 6501 Questions

I just bought a 2013 Forest River V Cross VIBE. The battery is located under one of the booth seats in the dining booth, is this the proper location? It isn't in a tray or anythin, just sitting on floor?

Sounds like a previous owner installed a LiPo or AGM battery.
If it's a FLA battery, it shouldn't be inside unless the compartment is vented to the outside.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. I'm sure some with that type of rig will chime in soon with an answer.

I looked around outside the unit and did not locate an compartment labeled specifically for the battery. The only option apparently outside would be the Large storage area at the rear of the unit? Does anyone happen to know where a copy of the 2013 Forrest River Vibe 6501 annual might be attained. Possibly it would tell in it?

There is no such thing as a model-specific owners manual.
I would suggest doing a search on the Vibe/Vcross sub-forum, on your model number. You might find others that own the same model.

what bikendan said is so true. what many FROGS do is go online and download the manuals for the equipment installed, this won't do much good for the rig itself but will give you reference to appliances and things like slide operators. good luck

I was in contact with the Forest River Team and they tried to assist, I afraid without much luck. They thought the battery should have been located on the very short A-frame in the front. There is very little room and no visible indication that a battery box was ever located there. In addition I looked online at pictures of many Vibe models for sale and could not find any with the battery box outside located up from on the A-frame. Is there anyone out there who possible knows where the proper location of the battery should be?

Made a quick call to my dealer and asked him about the 6501 battery location. He said that the V-nose Vibe TT's had the battery(s) located adjacent to the propane tank(s) behind the V-nose cap, and that they had sealed battery boxes with vent lines that went through the floor to the outside for venting.
