2016 268rks Vibe

Was looking at a 2016 Vibe not sure about the nose cone covering propane tanks. Looks like it would be a pain to put WD bars on I use a equalizer 4 point. Anyone have one of these campers and want to share your thoughts.
Thanks Mickey Moto

I have a 2015 268RKS with 4 point Equalizer and not a problem with install at all. Tows like a dream behind my F150. Love the trailer and layout, I say go for it!

Same here. They had to mount the brackets on the frame closer than the recommended 30" but I had no issues.

Cut the propane tank tray and weld in some custom bracing to get your WD brackets the right distance back, that's the only thing I had to do with my Blue Ox sway pro hitch to get it set up right. Brackets too close to the ball takes away the leverage you need to get proper sway control

I have a V-nose trailer with Equalizer hitch. Pulls great. No problem with the install.

We've got the 2015 268RKS. Towing with an F250 and the Original Equal-i-zer Hitch. Tows effortlessly. Had the dealer install the hitch just to ensure it was done correctly and they did have to make some small adjustments, but it's been about 10 trips with no issues and one of them was over 2k miles to Colorado from Houston.

wz3mo, you're towing the 268RKS with a 150? Isn't the dry weight awful close to the max capacity for the 150? I was considering that option, but was afraid it would be too small so opted for going with the 250.

Dry weight is around 6700lbs, F150 can tow well over 9k with the ecoboost

9k, wow, didn't know it went that high with eco boost. Thought it was around 7700 like most 1/2 tons, I guess that's without ecoboost.

I'd never want to tow that much with a 1/2 ton but I think a stripped down ecoboost with the HD payload package tows like 12k or something. I know the original ecoboost maxed at 11.3k

My 150 with the 5.4 V8 has a max tow capacity of 9600. Ecoboost when it came out was over 11k. New ones are pushing 12k now. I am pulling the Vibe 272 and it pulls great.

Hello- What size engine does your F150 have? My husband and I are looking to buy our 1st travel trailer, the Vibe268RKS. Glad to know it tows so well- that's what we wanted to hear! Also, how does the layout work for you? Any problems or suggestions?

My F150 has the 3.5L ecoboost which is great for towing the Vibe! My wife LOVES the rear kitchen and layout and so do I. It's really basically a couples trailer with the 1 bed (*which the first thing I did was replace the terrible mattress). The couch makes into a small bed if needed but not very practical.
I think you'll love it.

We put 2 memory foam toppers on the bed. $60 or so fix and the bed is pretty comfortable with that addition.

Wz3mo and Southpaw-Thank you so much for your response! Pretty excited about the TT- yes we love the layout- liked it better than any other we have seen! I did wonder about the mattress- figured we would be upgrading that!

Wz3mo- one more question. Have you pulled your trailer through any mountains with your F150? If so, how did it do?
