2017 Vibe 288rls question

Bought new, but still learning. The fridge doesn't run when not on city power. Is there an inverter?

All RVs have CONverters, few have INverters.

Howdy and welcome aboard. This thread may help explain the differences between a converter and an inverter:

Also this thread may help on other matters if this is your first RV. The first thread there explain the different electrical systems, and what operates off of what system.

The fridge in your Vibe, do you know what brand and model it is by chance, so we know if it operates off of 12 volt DC and/or propane.

When I looked at your particular model RV at the FR website for the current year:

I was looking at the pics there, and see this one. You could possibly have a residential refrigerator, that does indeed need an inverter to operate properly when not connected to shore power (this is also explained in the "converter/inverter" link I posted above).

Maybe someone with these type RV's will chime in and answer your question. I moved your post to the appropriate Vibe subsection to get more attention and answers to your particular RV model.
