Does anyone use stabilizers on the Vibe slide.

Was wondering if anyone is using stabilizers on the Vibe's slideout. I saw them in a store, seems like they might be worthwhile, but wanted to get the hive input first.

Thanks in advance.

IMHO slide stabilizers are a solution in search of a problem.

Slide stabilizers are typically considered a bad idea for pretty much all modern trailers. They can actually cause more problems than they solve.

From what I have read, the modern slides need to hang in order for them to seal. If you put a support under them and raise them just a little, you may find water leaking around seals.

That's awesome. Thanks, everyone.

Using slide supports will possibly void your warranty, as RV manufacturers warn not to use them.
Slide supports are leftovers from the early days of slideouts when the technology was new and there were many issues. The modern slideout shouldn't need them.

I use one on each side, but not tight.

Slide support

I agree, bad idea. We tried them. I did not feel it helped enough for the potential for damage. Also, after a day camped I had to crawl underneath and tighten as they sunk into ground. This was w/ a 2"X 12" underneath them. Switched to X scissor chokes which did a better job on our 27VSL, similar trailer to yours. Cleaner and better option than carrying around 4-jack stands and boards.

Never used them, never had a problem.

I bought two and now have 2 expensive paper weights. A long shot posibility is if you use them and one or both tires on thatt side loose air pressure, you will have tremendous pressure on the slide which can severly damage or destroy the slide mechanism.
