Fan under fuse box switching on & off?

Hello from Florida! We are seven weeks into our cross-country tour & having a good time in our Vibe. We are newbies to RVing & having quite the baptism by fire.

Just landed in our campsite & noticed the fan under the fuse box was running (we are hooked up to shore power). This is a first.

It stopped running when I flipped the breaker our dealer marked CONV - which I thought was the convection oven, which I've never used.

I've never heard this fan run before, and maybe I have no clue what CONV really stands for? The microwave has a separate breaker, so, hmmmm...?

Is this anything that needs my attention? It switched on & off a few times & has stopped totally while I've been writing this post. The photo is of my fuse box, the fan is underneath this panel.

Thanks - especially since I suspect this is something I should know about !

Hi,
The fan will run whenever the lights or outlets are used. The fan cools the converter. This is normal, you may not have noticed it before due to the radio or TV being on.

CONV is for Converter, an electrical device that converts 120 vac to 12 vdc and recharges your battery. It is normally left on and the fan noise will increase slightly as you use more 12v power (light, water pump, etc)

It also may be charging your 12 volt battery the fan would run at that time too. It sounds normal it should be no problem. Its great weather we are having in Florida hope you are enjoying time in the sunshine state.

You all are the best, thanks! Currently resting easy by the campfire & feeling grateful to be part of such a good group of forum folks. Thanks also for not making fun of me for not knowing what CONV stood for!

The weather where we are is beautiful, looking forward to exploring the state!
