Fresh water tank drain

We bought our 2017 285BHS this spring. Had the typical issues that our dealer grudgingly dealt with. One nagging issue is that my fresh water drain does not work. I open the ball valve and get a few drops, even when the tank is actively being filled. I ran wire to dislodge the blockage and didnít get more than the length of the tubing before it stopped. Is there a 1-way valve?

Your drain valve is likely connected to a short piece of hose that’s then connected to the low point drain on the FW tank. That hose may have a kink in it. You’ll have to access the hose a see if that’s the problem. On my Rockwood, the drain valve is mounted in a cover that drops down from the underbelly. It’s easy to remove with a few screws.

As mentioned, your fresh water tank drain hose may be kinked. (often hidden behind the visible valve) If you purchased new in the spring, it should still be under warranty.
If you decide to fix it yourself, you may have to drop the coroplast underbelly if so equipped.
